Nico Williams left his hometown club, CA Osasuna, in 2013 to join Athletic Bilbao’s youth academy. He made his senior squad debut in 2019–20 after spending time with the club’s developmental affiliate, Basconia. On May 11, 2020, he was promoted to the Segunda División B reserve squad.
